Slow and easy day on the plot following the peak effort of last few weeks. Thanks to everyone who helped. Me and Clive continued making our recycled greenhouse. It will House some grapes and maybe climbing berries so we can do a pergola over the compost heap to showcase vertical growing and utilize a so far unused growing space. With food prices up worth considering even more of these ideas.
We also admired Mark’s and Duncan’s work from day before on the original greenhouse extension. Nicely levelled on a cosy bed of gravel with the first panes of glass in. Might it House a kiwi plant or two as an exotic addition?
We had a short visit from a friend with children, then Kids enjoyed each others company and we listened to the bird songs and watched the sky, flowers and the spiral dance of butterflies. Tempted to plant more but the weather is still likely to surprise us so holding back on most things. Once we are mid April we will be safer to start
