Hi there,
I’m writing in the hope that you may be able to help me out?
Have you heard about the new Southend YMCA shop in Southend?
It’s called YMCA ETC and it’s a platform for young people (many of whom are disadvantaged) to learn CV and confidence skills to help improve the employment prospects. It provides mini-internships and youngsters can gain experience in everything from retail, customer care and catering to marketing, promotion and styling.
The shop is a really vital resource as it provides education and support which will hopefully prevent young people who are not in work or education slipping into long term unemployment.
The shop is a self supporting charity shop and each week has to raise the money to continue this social enterprise project.
