SEAT Stakeholder Conference 2017

You’re invited to:

Ideas in Motion South Essex 2017

SEAT Stakeholder Conference

In an official launch of our partnership, Southend Borough Council, Essex County Council, and Thurrock Council invite you to SEAT’s first Stakeholder Conference. SEAT was formed early this year when the Department for Transport (DfT) granted our Access Fund bid: to improve residents and employees access to new and existing jobs, as well as to education & training opportunities, through a programme which facilitates improvements to active travel across South Essex.

This event will be held at the Park Inn Hotel, from 10am-4.30pm on 31st October, where lunch will be provided. We hope you’ll be able to make it!

What we’ll be talking about:

· Why is Active Travel important for our economy and communities?

· What are the benefits and barriers to Active Travel choices in South Essex?

· What can we do to promote Active Travel in South Essex?

Who can come:

This event is free and open to anyone who’s interested; we think you might be if you’re:

· Businesses and employers

· Education institutions

· Transport Providers

· Voluntary and Community sector organisations

· Statutory service providers

· Cycling and Walking champions

· Business support providers

· Economic development professionals

Booking your place:

Please book and secure your place here.

Getting to the venue:

By Foot: Walking to the venue is straightforward, with the Park Inn Hotel centrally situated at the South end of the High Street- a 10 minute walk from Southend Central Train Station, and 2 minutes from Southend’s Travel Centre (if travelling by bus).

By Bicycle: Available cycle parking is situated towards the rear entrance to the Royals Shopping Centre, opposite the Park Inn Hotel.

By Train: Within 45 minutes, visitors can easily reach Southend via 2 major railway lines from London: Fenchurch Street (C2C) and London Liverpool Street (Greater Anglia & C2C). The C2C line serves Southend Central Station, by way of Basildon- or via Greys- and the Greater Anglia line serves Southend Victoria. Both stations are within easy walking distance to the Park Inn.

By Bus: Having arrived by bus, the Park Inn Hotel is then only a two minute walk from the Travel Centre.

By Car: Guest parking is available directly opposite the hotel at the Royals Shopping Centre (fees apply).
