Hi folks,
As people who are variously passionate about Chelmsford’s; creativity, community, social change, culture, sustainability and heritage, I’d like to invite you to two events that can help grow our local economy significantly.
The first is the ebarts social currency event. Imagine if we could mobilise even a fraction of the skills lost to us due to a depressed economy let alone enable unemployed people, pensioners, carers and students to supplement their income and /or start up their own enterprises.
the ebarts event at lunchtime on thurs the 23rd of October will give us the opportunity to explore whether this is possible. If this is of interest, please register via this link and/or please circulate the information to people who might be interested.

I was aware when the Marconi railway site was sold in 2012, that it was an amazing opportunity lost to community, because we didn’t have the active network to take advantage of it. Clearly the time wasn’t right. However, the linked 3 minute video shows an initiative in Totness that shows how people are working together to enhance their local economy http://atmostotnes.org/the-project/
Again, if you would like to attend, it would help our planning if you could register please and also please invite anyone who you think might be interested..
