Volunteer Life Coaches needed – training provided

I’m very pleased to be able to tell you about a brilliant volunteering opportunity we have in Southend.

Youth at Risk and Southend Borough Council are running an exciting all girls project in Southend and we’re looking for volunteers to support this new project.

We need volunteers who will be part of our Youth Enrolment Team, responsible for enrolling and supporting participants before the intensive.  The role of the Youth Enrolment volunteer is intense but really rewarding and there wouldn’t be a programme without the people who are prepared to take on the role because, without them, we wouldn’t have any young women to participate on the programme.

We need volunteers who will be Life Coaches and Project Coaches to either coach one to one on personal goals or work with small groups to design and deliver community projects during the six month programme.

We are looking for people with different amounts of time, but who want to make a difference to the lives of young women in their community and who want to make a lasting contribution to their future.

We train all our volunteers for their roles and offer ongoing support during the project. The training will focus on the skills and confidence you’ll need to take on your role.

The training dates are below and I have attached some general project information and specific information about volunteer roles:

·        Life Coach/Project Coach Workshop

21-23 February (Friday 6pm – 9pm, Saturday 9am – 6pm, Sunday 9am – 6pm)

·        Youth Enrolment Workshop

28 February-2 March (Friday 6pm – 9pm, Saturday 9am – 6pm, Sunday 9am – 6pm)

To apply or ask any questions please contact me on 01763 241120 or reply tosusan@youthatrisk.org.uk

Here’s the link to our new website if you want to take a look       http://youthatrisk.org.uk/

I hope to hear from you soon.

All the very best,
