The Golden Age

Having established the pink oyster mushroom using coffee grounds, attention turns to the Golden Oyster, the more striking and flavourful cousin of the good old oyster.

I grew mine using a mycobox, which helps to grow a successful starter culture.

Lightly fried, the golden oyster has a deeper flavour than the pink or grey oyster, which makes it worth the effort.
