Forest Gardening

Introductory Course

Led by Graham Burnett, Ron Bates and Claire White

Saturday 1st May 2010, 10 am to 5 pm

At Manchester Drive Allotments,

Leigh on Sea, Essex

Forest Gardening is a way of using the natural systems and layers of a woodland to create a food-producing environment with minimal effort. It is made up of fruit and nut trees, fruit bushes, perennial vegetables and herbs. A Forest Garden can be tailored to fit any space.

The course is practical, so you will need to bring hand tools, gloves and protective clothing

  1. This course could serve as a great first step for anyone planning to become in forest school leader. It’s also great to have these great fruit bearing plants in your backyard.
