Metal Culture and its partners celebrated the opening of Chalkwell Hall yesterday evening. It was a fantastic evening with a good vibe, chatter and music. See pictures below.
Southend-on-Sea in Transition gladly supports this project as the building was refurbished to be a low-carbon residency for artists from Southend and further afield. It was interesting to hear one of the speakers mention her visit to Antarctica to see firsthand the melting of ice cause by climate change. We are looking forward see the effects of the creativity and innovation promoted by Metal Culture and its partners which will hopefully inspire solutions to climate change and peak oil.

On Facebook Metal appear to have mixed up the dates; also the Metal website doesn’t seem to work, just a sheet of rather nice green!
Yep it didn’t work well over on that website but hopefully the info on our website was useful
