Climate Weekend

Image via Wikipedia

I know your members are passionate about taking action on Climate Change in their professional and personal lives…therefore it’s my pleasure to invite you to join us at this weekend. I know there are lots of opportunities for gathering – this one has a different emphasis: no big name speakers, no fixed agenda. Instead it will be committed people connecting in an extraordinarily beautiful setting.

7pm Fri Oct 2nd – 4pm Sun Oct 4th.

Climate Weekends at Embercombe exist to connect, challenge and nurture the people taking a stand on this issue.

There will be facilitated plenary time, smaller group time and invigorating conversation working outside in the fresh air in the organic garden.

With new Climate initiatives bursting forth daily in the build up to Copenhagen, this weekend will be an opportunity to stop and reflect on your role in achieving the change we seek, make new contacts who can help you and vice versa, discuss strategies and ideas and revitalise your energy reserves in a very beautiful place.

Embercombe offers a unique setting to take the conversation – and the action –  forward.

The cost of this weekend is £150 inclusive of accommodation in cosy yurts with your own wood burning stove, hot showers, homemade organic meals using Embercombe ingredients wherever possible and transfers from  and to Exeter St David’s Station. Group save train fares can be booked in advance, offering 50% discounts on train tickets and we’ll assist you to make that work.

We are a social enterprise 7 miles from Exeter, on 50 acres overlooking Dartmoor. Our mission is to ‘touch hearts, stimulate minds and inspire committed action for a truly sustainable world’. The last two climate weekends have brought together academics, leading community activists, public sector, corporate advisers and environmental managers, entrepreneurs and NGO campaigners. If you are passionate about taking action on climate change in whatever capacity, please join us.

If you can’t make it, do consider our Story Telling for Change weekend on 6-8th Nov, or The Journey, a powerful week for people wishing to take their next step in responsibility for taking action for the world, 8-13th Nov.

To book your place, or get your questions answered, please contact Clare@embercombe.co.uk or call 01647 252 983.

I look forward to welcoming you here!
